By logging on to the UIDAI website -
https://resident.uidai.gov.in/check-aadhaar-status. One can check whether the card is generated by entering the enrollment ID (EID) and the date and time when the enrollment number was generated (this is mentioned in the acknowledgement slip given after the biometrics are done).
If the EID is misplaced, it can be
retrieved from the UIDAI website by entering the necessary details asked and submitting the OTP sent on the registered mobile number. For this to happen, there must be an Aadhaar card link to mobile number. The intended mobile number can be given at the time of filling the enrollment form.
The status can be checked by sending an SMS to 51969. The SMS shall be of the following format - UID STATUS-space-14-digit enrolment number, or UID STATUS-space-28-digit EID.
